Moxibustion Therapy is a procedure in which a rolled herbal ‘cigar’ of mugwort is lit and held just above the acupuncture point until the skin becomes flushed. It warms and clears energy channels, removes pathogenic cold and dampness, and revives yang energy. Moxibustion is used to treat abdominal discomfort and other maladies due to pathogenic cold, such as ptosis of the internal organs and disorders due to stasis of the blood and Qi energy, such as rheumatism and neuralgia.

Cupping Therapy uses small jars or cups in which a vacuum is created by heat. The cup is then administered to the affected area of the body. Cupping therapy is used to regulate the flow of Qi energy and blood. Cupping therapy has been used with good results to treat colds, coughs, headaches, gastro-intestinal discomfort, indigestion, hypertension, rheumatism, and skin ulcers.

Meridian Transdermal Herbal Therapy is a combination therapy using herbs in conjunction with the Meridian System. Herbs are applied directly to the affected body area to optimize healing at the source of the problem. The Transdermal Herbal Therapy system uses electrical stimulation of acupuncture points along the meridian or energy pathway to distribute the healing properties of the herbs.

Massage Therapy in Traditional Chinese Medicine employs the use of acupressure points along your body’s meridians. The therapist uses deep tissue massage and pressure along the points to release stress and tension.

Herbal Medicines have been used with good effect for medicinal purposes in China for thousands of years. Traditional Chinese Medicine employs a vast empirical body of knowledge of herbs as well as an approach to the whole person in consideration of one’s constitution, age, circumstance, energy, elemental type, etc. Doctor has developed different types of concentrated herbal capsules for different types of ailments (See tab ‘Chinese Herbal Products’)

Hot Herbal Compress (HHC) Therapy combines traditional Chinese herbs and heat together to treat tissue injuries and also relax the body. It involves lying on small heated, rectangular cloth pouches (6 to 10 total) containing various herbs for 20 to 30 minutes. Heat is retained by covering the pouches with a heat blanket.
